VOLUNTEERS CELEBRATE EARTH DAY BY PLANTING TREES
“Earlier this year, a tornado hit the facility. Now, they are bouncing back one seedling at a time. Back in February, a rare winter tornado hit this part of Lackawanna County, knocking down scores of trees. Montage Mountain Ski Area had to temporarily close. Managers came up with the “grow” initiative as a way to start restoring the greenery all over the facility. The hope is that the pines will help the hill hang on to the snow” . . .

MONTAGE MOUNTAIN SKI PATROL COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Not only does the Ski Patrol keep active during the cold season months, but they make their presence in our local community all year round.
The Montage Mountain Ski Patrol volunteers as helping hands for many community events, especially sports related including the Black Diamond Running Series, the Scranton 1/2 Marathon, Steamtown Marathon, Race for the Cure among others.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THROUGH THE RENTAL SHOP?
On a week day (non-holiday) the wait is typically minimal. On weekends and holidays plan for up to a 30-45-minute wait to get through the rental shop. The earlier you arrive the better. Plan your time wisely. If you are taking a lesson it is better to have extra time than to be 5 minutes late and miss the lesson.
CAN MY CHILD RENT EQUIPMENT IF I AM NOT THERE?
A child must have an adult signature on their rental form to obtain rentals for the day.
LARGEST AND SMALLEST SIZE SKI AND SNOWBOARD BOOTS YOU CARRY?
The largest ski boot we carry is men’s 16. The largest snowboard boot is men’s 15. The smallest ski boot is a child’s 8 and the smallest snowboard boot is a child’s 7. Usually those boots can fit a 2, 3, or 4 year old.
DO YOU HAVE A REPAIR SHOP IF MY SKI OR BOARD NEEDS FIXING?
We can make some small fixes, please ask any rentals attendant for assistance.
DO YOU OFFER MULTIPLE DAY RENTALS?
We do not offer multiple day rentals at this time.

You can redeem your vouchers for an actual lift ticket at any of our ticket sale windows or guest services.

DO YOU HAVE NIGHT SKIING?
Yes, we have LED lighting on 100% of our slopes.
DO YOU HAVE LOCKER RENTALS?
Yes, we have locker rentals in our main lodge and rentals building.

WHAT IF I GET SEPARATED FROM MY PARTY (FAMILY/FRIENDS)?
Before you hit the slopes, agree upon a designated spot to meet if you get separated. If your young child has misplaced you, and is not at the designated greeting spot, notify any Montage Mountain Employee and ask for help.
DO YOU RENT SKI CLOTHING?
We do not rent ski clothing. Clothing is available for purchase at the retail store at the resort or visit the Ski Corner Retail Store at 908 Scranton Carbondale Hwy, Scranton, PA 18508.
WHAT KIND OF THINGS DOES THE RETAIL SHOP SELL?
Outdoor clothing, goggles, hats, sunglasses, gloves, sunscreen, lip balm, Montage Mountain Resorts logo items, etc.
Out of safety concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, Montage Mountain Resorts, LP (“MMR”) prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public – including recreational users and hobbyists. This prohibition includes drones used for any purpose whatsoever, whether filming or videotaping, flying for recreational purpose, or by media or journalists operating above or within MMR boundaries. This prohibition on drone operations or use extends to any drones launched or operated from MMR property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of MMR boundaries. Please contact the Montage Mountain Guest Services Department, 570-969-7669 if you have any questions or if you have appropriate governmental authorization and documentation allowing you to operate drones above MMR. Any authorized operation of drones must be in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement, and US Forest Service rules, as well as those policies separately established by MMR. These authorizations, regulations and rules generally require an application to the FAA, certification, training, various restrictions, safety and national security clearances, and a specific limited purpose, as well as insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers and releases of liability.
Any violation of this policy may involve suspension of your skiing or snowboarding privileges, or the revocation of your season pass, as well as confiscation of any equipment. Violators will be liable for any damages, including but not limited to, physical or personal injuries, property damage, damages for violations of privacy, regulatory fines and legal fees.
Out of safety concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, Montage Mountain Resorts, LP (“MMR”) currently PROHIBITS uphill travel on ANY of our terrain. If there are any questions, please inquire with our Guest Services Desk.
